About Phil

Originally from Christchurch, Phil undertook his Bachelor of
Dental Surgery (BDS) degree at Otago University, graduating with
Credit in 1996. He spent a year working as a House Surgeon in Dunedin Public Hospital before heading over to the UK where he worked in a private/NHS dental practice in Cambridgeshire for four years. Phil continued his training in the UK, undertaking further study to became a Member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (MFGDP).

In 2001, Phil returned to Dunedin to commence his three-year specialist Orthodontic Master’s degree, in which he graduated with distinction. He also successfully completed the MOrth exams from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.

He now runs busy orthodontic practices in Merivale, Rangiora and Rolleston, offering comprehensive orthodontic assessment and treatment to a wide range of patients. In addition to the standard metal braces, Phil also offers clear braces and a near-invisible brace technology called Invisalign.
